Electrical and thermal performance comparison between PVT-ST and PV-ST systems

Both photovoltaic (PV), and thermal (PVT) are technologies that use solar energy for power output. Combining them with (ST) can enable the generation of electricity as well high-temperature hot water. In this study, The heat transfer model was established to investigate thermal, electrical overall performance two systems, which one is a separately operating PV ST system (i.e. PV-ST system) other PVT in series PVT-ST). By comparing electrical, combinations under different radiation, ambient temperature inlet temperature, application range, advantages disadvantages given, provide guidance design higher output system. comparative study systems shows efficiency, efficiency primary saving than PVT-ST conditions low radiation.
